How to use it

  1. 1
    Add your WebP files

Drag WebP (or AVIF, PNG, JPG) images onto the drop zone, or click to choose. You can convert many at once.

  2. 2
    Choose the output format

PNG is selected by default and keeps transparency losslessly. Switch to JPG or WebP if you prefer, and set the quality for those lossy formats.

  3. 3
    Let it convert

Each image is decoded and re-encoded locally, one at a time, with a progress bar — large batches won’t overwhelm your browser.

  4. 4
    Download

Save each converted image with one click. Originals are untouched and nothing leaves your device.

Why convert WebP to PNG?

WebP is great for the web, but plenty of apps, editors and older tools still expect PNG or JPG. Converting to PNG gives you a universally supported, lossless copy — with transparency intact — that you can drop into any program.

Private by design

The conversion runs entirely on your device using WebAssembly. Your images are never uploaded, there are no size caps or watermarks, and you can convert as many files as your machine can handle. PNG is lossless, so expect larger files than the WebP original — switch the target to JPG if you need a smaller result.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser with WebAssembly — your files never leave your device.

Does converting WebP to PNG keep transparency?

Yes. PNG supports alpha transparency and it is preserved during conversion. PNG is also lossless, so no quality is lost.

Why is my PNG larger than the WebP?

PNG is lossless and usually larger than a compressed WebP — that is expected. If you need a smaller file, choose JPG or WebP as the target, or run the result through the image compressor.

Can I convert AVIF or other formats too?

Yes. The converter also reads AVIF, PNG and JPG inputs and can output PNG, JPG or WebP — so it doubles as an AVIF→PNG, WebP→JPG or PNG→WebP converter.

Is there a limit on file size or number of files?

No artificial limits. Everything runs locally, so the only constraint is your device’s available memory.
