How to use it

  1. 1
    Add your PNG files

Drag PNG images onto the drop zone or click to choose. Convert as many as you like.

  2. 2
    Set the quality

JPG is selected by default — use the quality slider to balance file size against detail.

  3. 3
    Convert locally

Each file is decoded and re-encoded on your device, one at a time, with a progress bar.

  4. 4
    Download

Save each JPG with one click, or grab them all as a ZIP. Your originals are untouched.

Why convert PNG to JPG?

PNG is lossless, which keeps screenshots and graphics crisp but makes the files large. JPG uses smart, adjustable compression that can cut the size dramatically — ideal for photos, email attachments and faster-loading web pages where you don’t need transparency.

Transparency becomes white

JPG has no transparency channel, so any transparent areas are flattened onto a white background during conversion. Everything runs locally with WebAssembly — no upload, no quotas, no watermarks. Keep PNG (or pick WebP) if you need to preserve transparency.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PNG files uploaded to a server?

No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser — your files never leave your device.

Will the JPG be smaller than the PNG?

Usually yes, often dramatically, because JPG compression is far more efficient than PNG for photographic content. You control the trade-off with the quality slider.

What happens to transparent areas?

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent pixels are placed on a white background. If you need to keep transparency, convert to WebP or keep the PNG.

Will I lose quality?

JPG is lossy, but at a high quality setting the difference is hard to see while the file is much smaller. Pick the level that looks right to you.

Can I convert many files at once?

Yes — add a batch and download every result together as a single ZIP.
