Runs in your browser — your files never leave your device

Convert AVIF images to JPG (or PNG and WebP) right in your browser, so you can open and share them anywhere. Batch convert, set the quality, and never upload a thing.

How to use it

  1. 1
    Add your AVIF files

Drop AVIF images onto the drop zone or click to choose. WebP, PNG and JPG inputs work too, and batches are fine.

  2. 2
    Pick the output and quality

JPG is selected by default. Adjust the quality slider for the size/detail trade-off, or switch the target to PNG or WebP.

  3. 3
    Convert locally

Files are processed one at a time on your device with a progress bar, so even large batches stay responsive.

  4. 4
    Download

Save each JPG with one click. Your original AVIF files are never modified and nothing is uploaded.

Open AVIF anywhere

AVIF is a modern, highly efficient image format, but many apps, editors and devices still can’t open it. Converting to JPG gives you a universally compatible copy you can use in any program or share with anyone.

Runs on your device

Decoding AVIF and re-encoding to JPG happens locally with WebAssembly — no upload, no quotas, no watermarks. JPG uses quality-based compression, so use the slider to balance file size against detail; choose PNG instead if you need a lossless result with transparency.

Frequently asked questions

Are my AVIF files uploaded anywhere?

No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser; your files never leave your device.

Why convert AVIF to JPG?

AVIF isn’t supported everywhere yet. A JPG copy opens in virtually any app, editor or device, which makes sharing and editing painless.

Will I lose quality?

JPG is lossy, but you control the quality slider — pick a level where the image still looks great. For a lossless copy (and transparency), convert to PNG instead.

Can it convert AVIF to PNG or WebP as well?

Yes. Switch the output format to PNG or WebP. The converter also reads WebP, PNG and JPG, so it works in many directions.

Is there a file-size limit?

No artificial limits — everything runs locally, bounded only by your device’s available memory.
